Restore or combine logs
Choose a JSON export from this log (maximum 5 MB). Importing adds sessions, skips identical duplicates and keeps different versions of the same entry separately. Your existing notes are retained. CSV is intended for reading data in a spreadsheet.
In the field
New observation
Date, time zone, object and result are required. All other fields are optional.
Session by session
My observations
0 sessions displayed
Sorted by the entered local date and time, newest first. Time zones remain visible.
Record what you actually see before consulting a photograph. A target that is not detected is useful information too.
Return to the same target
Compare lighting, sky conditions and magnification from one session to another. The log’s filters help you find your attempts.
Keep a copy
Export the JSON after a series of observations. This file contains your locations and notes: you decide where to keep it and whom to share it with.
Method inspired by the observing advice in Steve Cimolino’s volume II. The log is limited to 1,000 sessions; actual capacity depends on the storage available in your browser. Fields do not accept attachments.
