Published in 2000 by Høg and collaborators using Hipparcos observations and ground-based catalogues. CDS/VizieR archives and distributes the data; ESA provides the mission archives.

V ≤ 11 · Universum
All 2,539,913 main-catalogue entries were examined. Universum retains entries with a supplied mean J2000 position and estimated V ≤ 11. Rows without VT magnitude or mean position are excluded. The display limit does not mean the original catalogue ends at 11.
Photometry: V ≈ VT − 0.090 × (BT − VT); B−V ≈ 0.850 × (BT − VT). Without BT, VT is used and colour remains unspecified. This is an approximation to measured V. Tycho-2 proper motions are applied in the tangent plane and the direction is renormalised for the simulated date.
HIP references merge only for a unique cross-match within 2 arcseconds at J2000. Multiple systems and uncertain matches retain separate entries.
